FRAMES AND EDGES

 

All works will arrive unframed.  Pencil drawings and watercolor paintings will have a plain paper border beyond the stated piece size for ease of matting and framing, or you may choose to trim it to fit a frame the exact size of the completed work.  

 

Acrylic paintings on canvas will arrive with a  gallery-style edge, in which the canvas is wrapped around behind the frame and painted to match the rest of the piece, as illustrated in the samples below.  No frame is required on this style of piece, but works (unless specifically noted) are created on standard frame-sized canvases for ease in framing to suit your space.

Solid-color edge canvases also have a canvas that is wrapped around to the back of the frame.  The edge is painted in a more contemporary style with a solid color band that is color-matched to compliment elements in the main body of the painting.
