Some artists sit down and are inspired to express an idea with which they’ve been wrestling or to capture the feeling of a moment or place. But I work in a different way. I love to explore the texture and various colorations in a frog’s skin – or the nuances of detail in a reflection – or the unique twinkle in someone’s eye.
I like to be in the moment and study. To really look.
